Planting A Seed Book

The science is clear: climate change is real, and its impacts are happening all around us. It’s time for each of us to explore new ways of living, working, and moving through the world. The good news? Taking action doesn’t have to be overwhelming or feel like a sacrifice.

In Planting a Seed—a 2022 Silver Nautilus Award winning book—corporate sustainability expert Kate Gaertner empowers readers to create meaningful change in their everyday lives. This accessible and practical guide helps you understand your personal connection to global environmental challenges and offers clear steps for reducing your impact.

You’ll explore six key areas where your choices matter—from how you eat and travel to how you shop and use energy. Kate helps you craft a personalized action plan that matches your lifestyle and values, whether you're ready to start small, go big, or land somewhere in between.

With thoughtful insights and practical ideas, Planting a Seed shows how living sustainably can also mean living well. It’s not about being perfect—it’s about taking steps that work for you, and making progress with purpose.
