Meet your presenter

Dr. Panos Panagiotakopoulos is one of Seneca Polytechnic’s AI Thought Leaders, based in Toronto, Canada, supporting the institution’s strategic integration of generative AI across teaching, learning, and operations. He has trained faculty, staff, and professionals on the responsible and practical use of AI.
With over 20 years of experience in corporate sustainability, he has worked across sectors including finance, agriculture, real estate, construction, and retail, helping organizations develop and implement sustainability strategies grounded in systems thinking.
He is the founder of Close the Loop, a Toronto-based consultancy focused on climate strategy, life cycle assessment, and sustainable business modelling. He also co-founded Carbon One, a Canadian climate tech startup that helps companies measure and reduce the carbon footprint of their products.
Panos holds a PhD in Corporate Sustainability from Heriot-Watt University and has published academic work on sustainable business design, systems thinking, and organizational adaptation. He is also a professor of the Sustainable Business Management program at Seneca Polytechnic and teaches sustainability and business design at OCAD University in Toronto.
